HUDGINS-GROOVER is a real estate appraisal and real estate brokerage firm. The principals are Richard T. Hudgins and Mike Groover. Hudgins-Groover began as a real estate agency in 1979 which brokered commercial properties, farms, ranches, and residential properties.
Shortly thereafter, HUDGINS-GROOVER began investing in development projects which included residential subdivisions, townhouses, apartments, and commercial sites.
An investment group, HUDGRO, INC., was also organized by the principals to buy properties at Trustee's Sales in Wharton, Harris, Fort Bend, and Matagorda Counties.
The partnership began performing real estate appraisals in the early 1980's as a result of client confidence in their experience as real estate professionals. They have since advanced their real estate appraisal expertise with professional training and education with Hudgins obtaining the MAI appraisal designation and Groover obtaining the IFAS appraisal designation.
During the Spring of 1998, Hudgins-Groover expanded their real estate services to again include the brokerage of residential, farm & ranch, and commercial properties. Linda Baca, an experienced licensed real estate agent who has a reputation as a top producer, joined Hudgins-Groover in May 1998.
In December 2002, Hudgins-Groover welcomed Greg Lapham to the firm. Greg is a December 2002 graduate of Texas A&M University with a BBA in Finance. Since joining the firm, Greg has completed experience and educational requirments in becoming a Licensed Appraiser with the State of Texas.
During the Fall of 2003, Hudgins-Groover was please to announce that Wendell and Jean McAskill had joined the firm. Wendell and Jean McAskill live on the family farm in Pierce, Texas, and have been actively practicing real estate in Fort Bend and Wharton counties since 1999. They have obtained their REALTOR designation through the National Association of Realtors, and have many closings to their credit. This experienced team is comfortable working with both buyers and sellers alike.
